Research Changes Lives

A strong clinical research program addresses today’s critical healthcare challenges to improve patient care. At Carle, that research mission is accomplished through Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute (SFCRI), which enables clinicians and scientists to work together in innovative ways.

Funded by a transformational gift from Rick and Jeanene Stephens, SFCRI supports clinicians and scientists in the development of new tools and therapeutics to solve real world health problems and make life changing improvements for patients. With expertise in neuroscience, vascular health, radiology, digestive health, imaging and cancer treatment, the Institute advances wide ranging clinical research benefitting east central Illinois and beyond.
