The Carle Foundation Hospital General Surgery Residency Program is an accredited residency affiliated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine. The General Surgery Residency Program is part of Carle's outstanding residency training system, which includes a nationally-recognized Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program and an American Osteopathic Association accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. The Carle Family Medicine Residency has been AOA accredited since 2004. The General Surgery Residency combines the efficiency of a successful private sector organization with the intellectual stimulation and scientific focus of a world class academic institution. This unique approach will optimize residents' training experiences and ensure that program graduates exhibit the strength and versatility necessary to succeed in a broad range of professional career paths.
