A little like research 101, this program is designed for front-line caregivers (inpatient and ambulatory) who are interested in exploring the literature surrounding a burning question they may have about the care of the clients they serve or about the environment in which they work. The program is set up to assist providers who have creative ideas or questions but consider themselves novice in the research arena. The program offers the basics in a casual atmosphere where the first step of the research process is done in a supportive and teamwork approached environment.
The 16 week course allows participants to take their “burning question”, formulate it into a PICO question and then critically review the literature. Partnered in teams of 2, participants summarize the review of literature and create a poster of conference-worthy presentation.
This program is conducted and supported by research mentors from the Carle Research Institute and faculty from the University of Illinois. It is offered annually.
Please watch for future dates if interested in participating in this popular program.
